Terms of Service

1. Purpose and Definitions

These Terms define what you need to know when using the Service. "User" means any member who agrees to these Terms and uses the Service. "Content" means the books, reading logs (quotes, thoughts, action notes), reviews, and any other materials you create, edit, or store on the Service.

2. Description of the Service

The Service is a SaaS that helps you record your reading, providing library management, reading logs (quotes, thoughts, action notes), AI book review generation, and reading statistics. Features may be modified over time for improvement.

3. Account

You can sign up through Clerk and use the Service. You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use. Accounts created with false or impersonated information may be restricted.

4. Fees and Billing

The Service is currently in beta and available at no charge; a paid plan (Pro) will be introduced later.

• Beta period: core features are available at no charge.
• Pro plan (upcoming): ₩9,900 / month. When it launches, detailed benefits such as unlimited AI book reviews and the effective date will be announced in the Service in advance.
• Payments for paid plans will be processed by Polar, and subscriptions will renew automatically unless cancelled.
• Pricing and plan composition may change at official launch, and any changes will be announced in advance.

5. Refunds

No payments are taken during the beta period, so there are no charges to refund. Once paid plans launch, refunds will be handled in accordance with the withdrawal-of-subscription rules under the Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce. However, given the nature of digital content, withdrawal may be limited where provision begins immediately upon payment and you have used it; the applicable procedures and exceptions will be provided separately when paid plans launch.

6. User Content and AI Output

You retain ownership of and responsibility for the Content you submit or generate on the Service (books, reading logs, reviews, etc.). We use your Content only as needed to provide, display, and export the Service and to investigate errors; we do not use it to train AI models. AI-generated reviews are for reference only, and you are responsible for the final judgment on their accuracy, lawfulness, and use.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You must not:

• Use another person's account or payment information without authorization
• Interfere with normal operation of the Service (automated scripts, abnormal bulk requests, etc.)
• Reverse engineer, copy, or resell the Service without authorization
• Create or distribute Content that infringes others' rights or violates applicable laws
• Use the Service to create illegal, hateful, or discriminatory content

8. Service Changes and Interruptions

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Service, with advance notice for material changes. We are not liable for temporary interruptions caused by force majeure, system failures, or other unavoidable events.

9. Termination

You may request account deletion at any time. We may restrict or terminate accounts with prior notice if you violate these Terms or applicable laws.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties and Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of fitness for a particular purpose or the accuracy of AI output. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Any dispute between the Service and a User shall be submitted to the Seoul Central District Court as the court of first instance.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. Material updates will be announced at least 7 days in advance (30 days for changes unfavorable to Users), stating the effective date and reason.
